Valentine's Night In
by: Blog Administrator on
Are you looking for something less expensive and maybe a little more intimate this Valentine's day? There are so many ways to accomplish a special night and still stay in. MOST IMPORTANT- just because you're staying in doesn't mean you get off the hook. By that I mean you should still dress up and be a little provocative.
Making an at home picnic is one of the most romantic things in my opinion. Push the furniture out of the living room and set the mood with a picnic blanket and candles. Fondue is one of the more fun things for this romantic night. The D.Line Fondue Set is great, being that it doesn't require an outlet. Not to mention the fact that you and your sweetie probably don't agree on everything, but can always agree on chocolate. Fondue is fun and delicious. Things to dip in chococolate: strawberries, cherries, raspberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, blueberries, even watermelon- it's all delicious when dipped in chocolate, try anything you're in the mood for. Plus it goes great with champagne OR wine and doesn't make you extremely full for other nightly activities.
The most important thing about a night in is to be prepared. Have the Champagne or Wine in the refrigerator the day before. Have the fruit or dipping items ready the morning of. Have the places picked out for your candles, do you need to get more, are you giving someone flowers? Did you order them so they're ready and you're not late? Do you have the music picked out? Preparation is key. You don't want to be running around last minute, that defeats the purpose of relaxing and enjoying each other.
